Steve Fox
Steve has been working with Preiss Imports for 18 years, specializing in single malts and other distilled spirits which make up the Preiss Imports portfolio. In 1986, Steve visited Scotland for the first time, and has since made many return trips to tour the distilleries and educate himself on the whisky making process. Preiss Imports began importing Springbank Whisky nearly 19 years ago; Steve has worked tirelessly on the brand and has made it a nationally recognized single malt for quality and distinction in the category. As National Sales Manager, he is responsible for promoting the distilleries and their whiskies in the US market, which he is able to accomplish through nationwide whisky events and road shows. Steve is based out of Glendale, CA.
Ranald Watson
Ranald has been working at Springbank for almost four years, following in the footsteps of his grandfather. He was also named Ranald and worked at the distillery as an exciseman. As a member of Springbank's sales and marketing team, he is responsible for promoting Springbank and Mitchells Glengyle Distilleries and their whiskies in markets all round the worldwide - it's a tough job but someone's got to do it! Prior to joining the sales team he worked in the Whisky shop and tasting room in Campbeltown looking after the many visitors to the distilleries.
Alistair Walker
Born in the village of Alexandria on the outskirts of the whisky town of Dumbarton in 1974. Joined Burn Stewart Distillers in 1997 - spent 6 ½ years there and working with brands such as Scottish Leader blended Scotch whisky and the single malts Deanston, Tobermory and Ledaig. In 2004 joined the BenRiach Distillery Co, formed following the company’s acquisition of the distillery from Pernod Ricard. The company subsequently purchased a 2nd distillery in August 2008 – the GlenDronach Distillery in the Eastern Highlands. Involved in many aspects of the operation of the company, but the focus is on sales and marketing (of the BenRiach and GlenDronach single malt brands), markets include the UK, North America, Scandinavia, Germany & Spain. Partly brand ambassadorial - travelling the world and communicating the virtues of BenRiach and GlenDronach to whisky enthusiasts. Biggest challenge in this role is juggling my travel commitments so that I get a chance to spend the occasional Saturday afternoon watching the mighty Glasgow Rangers Football Club!
Euan Shand
Euan has been involved in the Scotch Whisky industry for most of his life, having been brought up at Glendronach Distillery, which his father managed. On leaving school he became a management trainee with Glasgow based William Teachers & Sons Ltd, Whisky Distillers, at the time owners of Glendronach Distillery. His training encompassed cask production, warehouse management, distilling, sales & marketing and finally export finance and international trade. Euan as part of his training also studied business management and accountancy before leaving the whisky industry and moving back to Aberdeen to take up accountancy roles in the burgeoning North Sea oil industry. Subsequently Euan acquired an engineering business servicing the oil industry. Despite his brief sojourn in oil he maintained his interests in whisky and subsequently sold his engineering business and re-kindled his career in the whisky industry by founding the Bennachie Scotch Whisky Company Limited in 1990. Bennachie was subsequently bought over in 1997 by a Spanish group. Throughout his business career he has been actively buying cask stock and involved in cask brokering. In 2001 Euan acquired the Glasgow based, but American owned Duncan Taylor & Co Ltd, cask stockholders.
